Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, for Hubbard "Hub" Gleason Gardner, 89, at First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie followed by Interment at Addison Johnson Cemetery. Hub passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Rosewood Nursing Center in Lake Charles, LA.

He was born on July 18, 1933 in Hillwood, Alabama to the late Hillary Gardner and Nobie (McLain) Gardner.

Hub proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He worked and retired from a career in Retail Management. His hobbies included hunting and fishing as well camping and enjoying time outdoors. Hub was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, often barbequing, sharing a meal of fried fish with all the fixings, and talking about the good ole days. He was great at giving advice to his loved ones and spent time reading his bible. Hub had a great love for chocolate of any kind.

He is survived by his son, Dale Gardner (Shonda) of Lake Charles, LA; daughter, Susan Chapman (Tom) of Leesville, LA; granddaughters, Ashley Skrljac (Ed) Houston, TX and Heather Gardner (Brian) of Kinder, LA; grandsons, Ryan Gardner (Tammy) of Eunice, LA and Seth Gardner of Lake Charles; step-granddaughter, Shannon Villafuerte; great-granddaughters, Mariah Gonzalez (Kirby), Chloe Bertrand, Mila Gardner, Avery Gardner, and Sydney Myers; great-grandsons, Landon Bertrand, Jack Skrljac and Henry Skrljac; great-great-daughter, Salice Gonzales; sisters Dian Futral and Margaret Thorton; and brother, Wayne Gardner.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Hillary and Nobie Gardner; wife, Irma Lee Gardner; daughter, Jennifer Clanton; sister, Edna Morrison; and brother, Vincent Gardner.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Pine Prairie and will resume Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
