William "Bill" Woodrow Wilson Bowman, 82, of Springfield, was born November 4, 1925, and passed away on February 25, 2008, in Christian Healthcare East. Bill served in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Nina Fern Peters on July 11, 1968, in Miami, Okla. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, telling fishing stories and gardening. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emma Bowman; brother Junior Bowman; and sister Ann Kluber. He is survived by his wife, Nina Fern Bowman; his children, Ronda Michele Bowman-Cardwell and husband, Dale, Scott Bowman and wife, Jodi, Skeeter Bowman and wife, Anita, Charlie Bowman, John Bowman, Valerie Shaver and husband, Jim and Becky Rousselot; step-children, Anita Creasy and husband, Roger, Gary Doing, Bob Doing and wife, Pam and Jack Doing and wife, Emma; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Robert Bowman; sister Janice Clark and husband, Roger; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home East at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Morgan Luthern Cemetery.
