Eugenia Wagner, age 98, of Riceville, Iowa passed away on February 4, 2023 at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.

Eugenia Margaret (Klaes) Wagner was born on May 10, 1924 to Theodore and Mabel (Quinn) Klaes of New Haven, Iowa.

She attended school in the New Haven area graduating from St Mary's Catholic School.

On November 17, 1945 she married Robert F. Wagner at St Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven.

Eugenia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, where she was active in the Rosary Society.

Eugenia assisted Robert in the daily farming operations until they retired in 1980.

During retirement they loved to travel. Eugenia enjoyed playing cards, quilting and cooking. Her cinnamon rolls were always a wonderful treat enjoyed by family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert (2006), sister Dorothy "Dottie" (Bob) Bensend and a brother Raymond Klaes.

Memorials can be directed to the Riceville Ambulance service.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services at the church with rosary at 9:45 am. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.
