My grandpa was a WWII veteran. He flew back and forth from Prestwick Scotland to the New York area transferring supplies.

As he and my grandma had told me, they met during the "Blitz" in England. My grandma was born in Troon Scotland and was in the city for work. One night when the bombing started, the both of them had to scurry down into the underground for shelter. They told me they couldn't see until the morning and they found that they were sitting next to each other. They married in Prestwick Scotland. As told by grandpa, "the only way I could marry your grandma was to tell her mother that I was a rich rancher and had many acres." He was not rich and had no land. My great-grandma bought the story and soon after the war came to live with them.

Jack Davis Sheen named their only son after him and my grandma named their only daughter after her, and I am named after my grandma's mother and aunt.

Jack was born in Animas New Mexico on May 8, 1920. He was the third child and the last of Ernest Sheen and Pearl (Anderson) Click. He had a brother, Ernest Sheen 25976387, and a sister Edna Sheen Prescott Hargrave.

He was one of my favorite people and I loved to sit and listen to his stories. I will always love him and think of him all the time.
