"GEORGE HARLAN

IOWA [Louisiana] - Funeral services for George Harlan, 70, of 304 Lightner St[reet] were to be at 2:30 p.m. today in First Methodist Church of Iowa.

The Rev. James Hodges, pastor of First Methodist Church of Winnfield, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Pine Hill Cemetery under direction of Hammer Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Masonic graveside rites were to be conducted by Iowa Masonic Lodge 451.

The body will be at the church until time for services.

Mr. Harlan died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday in a Lake Charles hospital. He was a life long resident of Iowa and was a mail carrier until his retirement 15 years ago. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of First Methodist Church, Iowa Masonic Lodge 451 and Iowa Lions Club, and was chairman of the Volunteer fire department.

He is survived by his wife.

Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Orphans Home in Alexandria or to the building fund of the First Methodist Church of Iowa, the family said." END
