Twila Archer, 94, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Thursday morning, February 9, 2023, surrounded by her family, at her home.

Born September 12, 1928, in Grandview, Kansas, she was the daughter of Alva and Leota (Curfman) Baxter. She was raised and received her early education in the Grandview community and graduated from Winfield High School in 1946. After high school, she worked at McClellan's Drug Store.

Twila was united in marriage to Mace L. Archer on January 5, 1951 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield where they raised their four children. Twila and Mace opened Archer Jewelry on Main Street in 1963. In addition to working as a bookkeeper at the jewelry store, Twila was a dedicated homemaker. In 1978, Twila began working as a bookkeeper for Pamida, and later for WalMart, until retiring in 1994. Mace preceded her in death on October 15, 2006.

She was a member of Tisdale United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed reading, working word puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, and playing board games with her grandchildren.

Her family includes her sons, Bret Archer and wife, Laurie; Nat Archer and wife, Carol-Ann; her daughters-in-law, Marsha Smith; Sandy White; Charlene Sutton; Sue Weeks; her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Twila was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Archer and Kent Archer, a daughter-in-law Connie Poore, and a granddaughter Amy Lynn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 13, 2023, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Tisdale Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2 to 5 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 2 to 4 that afternoon.

A memorial has been established in Twila's name for the Tisdale Methodist Church Building Fund.
