E G Buchanan, age 81 of Tuskahoma, Oklahoma passed away from this life on February 8th, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. E G was born on May 3rd, 1941 in Garland, Texas to Mable Leola (Marlow) and Fred Buchanan. EG enjoyed working in his yard and driving around Clayton Lake, where he worked for 36 years. EG was the oldest of 13 children, he always enjoyed visiting and cutting up with his large family.
EG is survived by his daughter, Nancy Buchanan Trent of Cole Hill, AR; son, Donnie Buchanan of Cole Hill, AR; grandchildren, Allissa Trent of Cole Hill, AR, Steven and Ashley Trent of Hartman, AR, Kristina Talley and Smokey Buchanan of Altmont, KS; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Buchanan of Gun Barrel City, TX, Jerry and Dawn Buchanan of Clayton, OK, Tony and Cindy Buchanan of Clayton, OK; sisters, Elizabeth Harkins of Seven Points, TX, Peggy Buchanan of Mabank, TX, and Carol and Ken Violes of Angleton, TX; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
EG is preceded in passing by his wife, Carmaleta (McLaughlin) Buchanan; son, EG (Bo) Buchanan Jr.; grandson, Ivan Buchanan; parents, Fred and Mable Buchanan; brothers, Freddy, Floyd, Billy, Danny, Davis and Nick Buchanan.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 13th, 2023 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Chapel in Clayton, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 at 2:00PM at AL Stephens Cemetery in Clayton, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina.
