Jimmy D. Canard, 56, Kokomo, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Howard Regional Health System, Kokomo. He was born Sept. 8, 1951, in Batesville, Ark., the son of the late David Canard and the late Elizabeth Carter. He married Beverly Canard on June 26, 1996, in Dyersburg, Tenn., and she survives.
He was a proud member of Greentown Family Christian Church. He loved God and his family. He also enjoyed spending time working on tractors.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Jason Canard, Kokomo; a daughter, Angel Massey, Beech Grove; stepsons, Israel White and Jeremiah White, Kokomo; stepfather Dale Carter, Mount View, Ark., and grandchildren Chelsea Canard, Rachel Paquin, Zain Massey, Izablle Canard, Emily Canard, Levi White, Macaiah White, Grace White, Allison White and Jayden White.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Carter; and a brother, Samuel K. Carter.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Greentown Family Christian Center, with Pastor Michael Waitt officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown.
Arrangements were entrusted to Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo.
