The latter years of Mrs. Altic's life were sad, lonely years. She was the wife of Chris Altic, who, in the active years of his life, was a prosperous farmer over in the Edna Mills neighborhood. After having been a renter a number of years, he bought a farm near Prince William, northeast of Rossville. Soon after locating on this farm his health began failing, and a lingering illness terminated in his death. Later on the widow met with financial reverses and lost all her property. Mr. Altic had been a member of the Mulberry Odd Fellows lodge, and some three years ago, the lodge sent Mrs. Altic to the Home. She is survived by a son.
