To Rest Today

On last Monday evening at seven
o'clock, Mr. Edwin Asbery White.
passed away at his home about six
miles east of town, following an at-
tack of paralysis on Friday after-
noon before five o'clock. He was
conscious up to the time of his
death.

The remains were laid to rest in
Bold Springs cemetery Tuesday aft-
ernoon at three o'clock, the services
being conducted by Rev. W. G. Sel-
lars, and attended by a large con-
course of sorrowing relatives and
friends.

Mr. White was in his sixty-third
year, having been born May 13,
1862, and had been a member of the
Missionary Baptist church a number
of years. He was one the county's
best known and well-to-do farmers,
owning and operating large farms
besides having other business
interests.

The deceased is survived by one
brother, Mr. George White, of Pel-
ham, his widow, seven children, three
sons and four daughters, besides a
number of relatives and friends
throughout the county.
