Lady Bourinot Was Beloved in Ottawa - Widow of Distinguished Canadian Passes in Local Hospital - Funeral Thursday Afternoon

An estimable lady, widow of a distinguished Canadian, passed away here today in the death of Lady Bourinot. Her late husband, Sir John Bourinot, clerk of the House of Commons and outstanding authority on parliamentary procedure, predeceased her several years ago.

Lady Bourinot, who, before her marriage was Isabel Cameron, daughter of the late John Cameron of Toronto, was 61 years of age. She was a granddaughter of the late Canon Bleasdell of Trenton.

She was married to Sir John Bourinot in 1889. Lady Bourinot, following her husband's death, resided here till 1911, when she moved to Toronto. She resided there up to about a month ago when, in failing health, she returned to Ottawa and entered a local hospital, where death occurred today. When in Ottawa, Lady Bourinot was a devout attendant and worker at Christ Church Cathedral. She was a woman of charming character and culture.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur S. Bourinot, barrister, of Ottawa, and Sydney Bourinot of Simcoe. To the family much sympathy is extended in their loss.

The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon from the residence of her son, A.S. Bourinot, Cloverdale Road. Following a service at 3:30, at Christ Church Cathedral, interment will be made in Beechwood cemetery.
