She was born on August 21, 1936, in Waterloo, daughter of Worth H. and Margaret C. Larsen Bingaman. Irene graduated Waterloo East High School in 1954.
She worked for 20 years as the service department manager at Sears, Roebuck, and Co., until retiring in 1990. She then worked at Flower World and then for Kwik Star on Fletcher Avenue for 12 years, retiring in 2014.
She loved to read and work on puzzles, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four children, Larry Wolf, Debra Wolf, Roger Wolf, and Steve Wolf; son-in-law, Hudson Williams; sister, Collene Peirce; and brother, Rex Bingham.
Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2023, at Locke Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Avenue, Waterloo, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery in the spring.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
