Wauneta May Barnes, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 17th, 2023 at Crestview Rehabilitation Center. Wauneta was born on May 8th, 1932 in Fairfield County, Ohio to the late Harry Walter and Lilly May Bieber. She was a Graduate of Berne Union High School and had retired from Crestview Rehabilitation Center.
Wauneta was a lover of music and enjoyed singing. She sang for many years in the Church choir and was strong in her Faith. Wauneta was always looking out for others. She had a giving heart and a kind soul. She will be remembered for always being there for her family and friends, especially in their times of need.
Wauneta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Barnes; and siblings, Robert Bieber, Jean Blair, Dorothy Reinschield, Marie Adams, Patricia Walker, and infant siblings, Walter, Grace and Clarence.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brad Seevers officiating. Burial is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of the services on Thursday.
