Jane Washington Ancrum married in 1826, Thomas Doughty Condy (1779-1858). They resided in St. Philip and St. Michael's Parish, Charleston District, S.C. Eight children were Charles Elliott (1827); Mary A. (1828-92) who married in 1851, George Hay Ringgold (1814-64); Elizabeth Virginia (1830-81)(unm); Joel Poinsett (1832-55)(unm); James Ancrum (1837-71) who served in the Army (CSA), 1861-62; Frances Doughty (1838-1907)(unm); Ella Louisa ( 1841-1925) who married Alfred Holmes (1833-1905); and Isabella Mary Condy (1843-44).
