Linda "June" Prather, age 59, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at her home.

Born February 16, 1964, in Knox County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jason B. and Betty Lou Ore Alford. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sonja Coppedge and Beverly Ray Alford. June was a member of South Fork Baptist Church and retired from Itron for 18 years. She loved working around the house and making sure everything was perfect, enjoying canning, sewing, painting, and woodworking. June also enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. But most of all she loved being "Granny" to her four grandchildren.

June will be missed by her husband, whom she married on November 19, 1980, Billy Prather. She and Billy were inseparable and had a love most people can only dream of. Also surviving are her children, Stacey (Michael) Miller, Crystal Prather, Austin (Hannah) Prather; four grandchildren, Brenna and Brantley Miller and Timber and Cedar Prather; and her siblings, Terry (Cathy) Alford, Roger (Sue) Alford, Jess (Dorothy) Alford, Sherry (Eugene) Caldwell, Jo Ella (Frankie) Pryor, Sheila (William Ray) Baker and Sandy Logan; her brother-in-law, David "Buddy" Coppedge; and sisters-in-law, Annette (Kenny) Widener, Peggy (Everett) Roberts and Tammy (Larry) Prather.
