Ethel Mae Dworak, 108, passed away February 19, 2023.

Ethel was born October 10, 1914 in Beardstown, Illinois. She was the daughter of John Henry and Alice Louise (Kelly) Duchardt. She married Joseph Richard Dworak on September 6th, 1958, in Watseka Illinois; (he preceded her in death). She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother John Kelly Duchardt Sr; one sister Dolores Agnes Dusch; and one nephew John Kelly Duchardt Jr.

Ethel was a very special, smart and strong woman: surviving many health issues over the years, including typhoid fever, polio, measles, and colon cancer. She was able to live in her own home until just a few years ago.

She graduated from Villa Grove High School. She was employed at Franklin Life Insurance Company for 10 years, and employed at John Hancock as a loan closing specialist for farm and corporation loans in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin for 34 years.

She was a member of Canton Country Club, Elks Lodge and Moose Club.

She had many talents and hobbies, including Antiques Study Group of Champaign Illinois, Gardening: providing flowers for the tables at Senior Centers, a member of the Quilting Club with the Methodist Church of Champaign. She loved Ballroom Dancing, and playing cards with friends and family.

Private Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
