James Daniel Lackey IV (62) of Kiefer, OK was born October 21, 1960, and went home to his Lord and Savior on February 19, 2023. Danny was a life-long resident of Kiefer, and a graduate of Kiefer High School, Class of 1978.

Danny married the love of his life, Terrilynn Barnhart, on June 20, 1980, at First Grace Church in Glenpool, OK. Danny and Terrilynn had three children and five grandchildren. He loved his family dearly and made sure they knew it every single day. Terrilynn fondly referred to him as Mr. Wonderful.

Danny had a long and successful career as the owner and operator of D&B Resources for 42 years, working in numerous aspects of oil production operations, land development, construction, and property management. His friends and family knew him to be an incredibly hard-working man who put his full effort into all that he tackled. He conducted himself with honesty and integrity in both his business dealings and personal life.

Danny enjoyed serving his community quietly and humbly; he made a lasting impact on everyone that met him. He was an inventive and visionary man – a truly talented and creative thinker. He could find or build a solution to any problem brought before him in short order. Danny was adventurous. He took impromptu trips with his wife, friends, and family, and enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. He was an avid fan of his children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to share a good joke and a few pieces of candy.

Danny was a leader in his family and community, and supported others generously with a quiet and steadfast kindness. His family and friends knew him to be gentle, loyal, and an unwavering source of support and strength upon which they could rely. To those around him, Danny filled this world with immense joy and love; he is truly irreplaceable.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Lorene Lackey, and his father, James Daniel Lackey III ("Jimmy Dan").

Danny is survived by his wife, Terrilynn Lackey of Kiefer, his sister Rejeanna Bowling and her husband Bret of Kiefer, his son, Trevor Lackey and wife Tresa of Fairview, his daughter, Alaina Szlavy and husband Tibor of Kiefer, their children Evan and Chloe, his daughter, Ashley Naifeh and husband Corey of Tulsa, and their children Ellery, Dash and Ophelia, his nephew, Ty Bowling and wife Madelina of Kiefer, his nephew, Garret Bowling of Kiefer; and many extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
