" Mary Ellen Thomas, of Antlers, died Wednesday, Oct 20, 1999 at Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers at the age of 100. She was born Nov 13, 1898 in Saskatchewan, Canada."
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 25, at 2 P.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Antlers with Don Byard and Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Antlers City Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Darren Wilson, Jay Southard, Roger Nash, Hank Baker, Russell Standridge and Jonathan Salas.
Thomas was an Antlers resident for the past 20 years and worked for the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Thomas is survived by two nephews: Pettus Suttle, Jr. of Suttle, Alabama and Walter Thomas Suttle, of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by one niece: Camille Suttle Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., and special friend Joan Wilson and family of Antlers."

She was the daughter of Robert Arland Thomas b. June 3, 1868 in Wales and Catherine Inez Broady b Feb 29, 1879 in Marion County, Oregon. Ellen never married.
