MAURICE HONORATUS NORE BONIN (a.k.a.) BOLEMAN, baptized at St. Anselem’s Church, Chezzettecook, Halifax Co., Nova Scotia 11 December 1840 (aged 39 yrs. in the 1881 Census of Halifax, N.S.); died at Halifax, N.S. before 18 April 1918 (date of burial) age 82 yrs. He married at St. Anselem’s Catholic Church, Cheezetcook, N.S. 7 January 1865 by banns (by Rev. J. Debay) SUSAN DAY, born at Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia ca. 1847; aged 34 yrs. in the 1881 Census); died at 213 Agricola St., Halifax, NS 16 May 1911, age 63 yrs., due to arterio-sclerosis and acute cardiac dilation. She was buried 18 May 1911 at (date of burial), aged 63 yrs. Maurice is listed of French descent, and Susan of Irish descent. They are both listed as Catholic. She was buried 18 May 1911, and Maurice was buried 18 April 1918 in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Halifax, N.S. Their gravestone is totally illegible now, located in the third row from South Park St., and nine graves west from the South St. fence. They are buried with their daughter Mary J. Boleman who was buried 17 August 1904, age 22 yrs. They attended Ship Harbour Catholic Church where their child: “Ivo Bona” was baptized age 3 wks. old 2 February 1868, witness Thomas Day.
