Our beloved daughter, sister, grand-daughter, aunt, niece, and friend, Katie Merlene Bills, 19, passed away March 15, 1999 of injuries suffered in a ski
accident.
Katie was born on September 17, 1979 in Murray, Utah to Donald O. and Ralene Bills. She attended Brigham Young University where she was a member of the '98-'99 cheer squad.
Katie was greatly loved by all. Her sweet spirit touched the lives of those who knew her; for she truly was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. The sparkle in her eyes and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed. Katie, your family looks forward to the day when we can be reunited once again for eternity.
Katie is survived by her parents; three sisters: Kristen (Shane) Bloomfield of Orem, Utah; Kari (Rick) Peterson of McKinney, Texas; Kelsey Bills, a junior at BYU; one brother, Donald O. Bills, Jr. of Littleton, Colorado; grandparents: Walter R. and Elsie Bills, and Ralph and Merlene Gerrard; nieces: Jordan and Paige Peterson; and nephew, Mason Bloomfield. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and in her own words, a plethora of dear sweet friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 18, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Oak Hills Stake Center, 925 E. North Temple Drive, Provo, Utah (northwest of the Provo Temple). A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 17, 1999 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State Street, Orem, Utah. A viewing will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.
