ELLISON -- Michael (Vernon) Lee Ellison, 1934-2003. Mike Ellison, a resident of Bosque Farms, was born on May 15, 1934, to Edna Mae (Harwood) Ellison and Alva Ellison, and he died on March 17, 2003 at 4:00 a.m. He was raised by his mother until the age of 11, and then after a painful divorce, he was taken by his father to California and spent 6 years with his step-mother and father, Pat (Brous) Ellison and Al Ellison, in California. At the age of 17, he joined the Navy to fight for our country. In the year 1965, he married the love of his life, Donna Sue Eastman and together they raised seven children; six daughters and one son, Ronda, Brenda, Michelle, Wendy, Mike, Dana, and Tina. They have 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, and loving uncle. He was an amazing golfer. His sense of humor and quick wit always brought laughter and joy to his family and anyone who met him. He was generous and kind to all he met. He will be deeply missed. Mr. Ellison was cremated thru Direct Funeral Services. Memorial Services were held in his honor at the Ellison home on March 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.,"The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the Lord: 'O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!" Psalm 116:3 and 4.
