W B Garren, 48, Succumbs at Hospital Walter B (Jack) Garren, 48, of Hendersonville, Route 5, died yesterday afternoon in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks. A native of Henderson County, he was a son of Joseph Harrison Garren, who survivies, and the late Lola Corn Garren. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II. The funeral service will be held at 4 pm Thursday in Thomas Shepherd Memorial Chapel. The Revs LK Holbert, Luther Cappell and Dan Blackwell will officiate and interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetary. The family is at the residence on Clear Creek Road and the body will remain at Thomas Sheperd Funeral Home. Surviving in addition to the father are the widow, Mrs Helen Worsham Garren; one son, J Blaine Garren of the home; one daughter, Mrs Marie Justice of Hendersonville; three sisters, Mrs Lewis Case of Hendersonville, Mrs Ernest Hogue and Mrs Frank Jordan of Atlanta; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
