Linda L. Mayes, 74, of Seymour formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Mayes was born July 9, 1948, in Columbus, the daughter of Elmer and Alice Bishop Rediker.

She married Larry R. Mayes April 9, 1967; he preceded her in death April 18, 1996.

She was formerly employed with Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and her fur babies.

Survivors include her children, Scott R. (Jonathan) Mayes and Beth D. (Danielle Mayo) Cordes both of Seymour; grandchildren, Allison (Cayden Gale) Cordes and Brianna, Dylan and Rhett Cordes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Ronnie Rediker; and a sister, Diane Sue Wilkerson.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Garland Brook Cemetery
