MARK ANTHONY CONN
May 8, 1955 - February 28, 2023

MARK ANTHONY CONN, age 67, of Decherd, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at STRHS Winchester, following an extended illness. Mr. Conn was a member of the Boulevard Church of Christ. He was a 1973 graduate of Franklin County High School. After graduation he joined the Army National Guards in Winchester and was enlisted for 6 years. Mr. Conn was also employed for the Franklin County Ambulance Service in 1977 to drive an Ambulance. He decided in 1982 when classes were held at the University of the South, Sewanee that he wanted to enroll in E.M.T. classes and he became a licensed E.M.T. until 1988. He then decided his life's calling was to become an electrician and received his license as a residential and commercial electrician. He then became a commercial painter and was hired at Yates until 2006. He served as a Decherd City Alderman for one term. After his retirement he enjoyed watching westerns and civil war history on u-tube. He will be remembered as a very private person that loved his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elliott Conn, brother, Oliver Conn, Jr., and Sister, Peggy Curtis. He is survived by his daughters; Wendy Rizzolo and husband, Sam of Hampton, Virginia and Kim Conn of Decherd. Grandchildren; Josh Brown of the Greenhaw Community, Amber Conn, U.S. Army, Maylene Hernandez of Tullahoma, Drake Hernandez of Washington State, Camden Rizzolo, Virginia, Cousins; Lisa Henson, Jason (Jennifer Jackson) Henson and Mark Bassett all of Decherd, Tenn.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 on Friday prior to services.

Interment will be in Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
