Barbara J. Tope, age 88 of Galloway passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born in Oakfield, OH to the late Earl F. and Ethel (Hurst) Hartley. She served as a school bus driver for South-Western City Schools for 40 years. Following her retirement, She was employed by the city of Grove City driving the bus for the E.L. Evans Senior Center. Barbara loved camping and get-togethers with her family. She loved to be outside and enjoyed time on her riding mower cutting grass on her 5 acre property. She also enjoyed her lunches with her girlfriends and catching up. She was a loving mom and grandmother and had a great sense of humor. She would help anyone who needed it. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband James O. Tope; children James, Terry, Keith, Chris, and Pamela Tope; sister Patty (Frank) Ickes; brother Sonny Hartley; and longtime companion George Cardosi.
