Lifelong Alaskan Rudy Thomas D'Apice, 24, died Jan. 1 in Anchorage. There was a visitation followed by a funeral at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Eighth Avenue and E Street. The Rev. Richard Miller officiated. Burial was in Anchorage Memorial Park in the spring.

Born Nov. 23, 1968, in Anchorage, Mr. D'Apice graduated from West High School. His family said, "He was Uncle Rudy to all the children who knew him; he brought so much joy, love and happiness into their lives and to everyone he encountered. He will be loved and remembered by all who knew him."

Mr. D'Apice is survived by his sisters, Anita Jewell of Anderson, and Frances Miller of Anchorage; his daughter, Hayley Donlan of Eagle River; his stepbrother, Bruce Katchatag of Anderson; his brother-in-law, Craig Miller of Anchorage; his niece, Noelle Bates of Anchorage; his uncles, Shelby Hopkins and John Wilson, both of Anchorage, Newell Anderson of Cordova, and Joseph Anderson of Oregon; and his aunts, Marjorie Wilson and Shirley Anderson, both of Anchorage, Linda Clemente of Cordova, and Francis Anderson of Seattle.
