Richard Eugene Slater, 75, Live Oak, FL passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 after a long illness. The Zanesville, OH native moved to Live Oak thirty plus years ago form Orange Springs, FL and was of Presbyterian faith. He was a Veteran of Peacetime while serving in the Army, enjoyed racing and homing pigeons. He also liked the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mr. Slater is survived by his wife: Gloria Slater, Live Oak, FL; two daughters: Vicki (Michael) Fugate, Newport Richey, FL, Sherry Harrison, New Port Richey, FL; one son: Michael (Vivienne) Slater, Clearwater, FL; one sister: Eileen (Don) Sgontz, Dayton, OH; one brother: Ronald Slater, Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren: A memorial service will be set at a later date.2012
