CLYDE MCCORKLE
Clyde McCorkle, 77, of Rt. 3 Waxhaw died today in Charlotte Memorial Hospital. Born Nov 11, 1902, he was the son of the late Franklin and Minnie McManus McCorkle of Union County. His wife, Mrs. Lottie McCorkle, died in 1976.
Services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Bonds Grove United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jasper Boyd will officiate. The deceased will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.
Surviving are one son, David McCorkle of Waxhaw; two grandchildren; three brothers, Luke McCorkle, Frank McCorkle and Parley McCorkle, all of Waxhaw; also a sister, Mrs. Lucille Julian of Charlotte.
The family will be at the McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe tonight from 7 to 8 o'clock.
