Jane Ann (Riney)Willmann

March 30th, 1948- February 22nd, 2023

Our mother, Jane Willmann, passed away on February 22nd, 2023 at the age of 74, six months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Aleeta Mae Riney and her brothers, Charles Wayne and Robert Eugene Riney. She is survived by a cousin, Mark Juhas.

As a family, we lived in Chicago, Midland, MI, Kansas City and Cincinnati. Mom moved to Denver, CO in 2018. Mom was always quick to make friends and enjoyed long-standing relationships across the country.

Mom inherited a love for music. She was a third-generation piano teacher, offering lessons to countless children from her home in Montgomery for over 30 years. She enjoyed being a member of the Kenwood Baptist Church choir and devoted much of her holiday season to preparing for the "Living Christmas Tree" concerts.

Always one to get outside, Mom enjoyed bike rides, hikes and annual trips to the lakes of northern Michigan. Moving to Denver in 2018 offered an
opportunity to enjoy the Rocky Mountains and the wildflowers that she would identify by name.

Mom will always be remembered for her birthday cakes. She devoted a full day to making a three-layer German Chocolate cake from scratch for Brendan. For her grandchildren, the chosen theme of "Meemaw's" cakes were by request and limited only by their imagination. Visions were shared months in advance and Mom spared no effort in consistently revealing a creation that matched the wonder of young minds and thoroughly impressed their parents.

Mom will forever be missed and appreciated by her loving family: Brendan (Luci) Willmann of Asheville, NC and Mandy (Allen) Thomson of Denver, Colorado. Meemaw was loved and adored by her four granddaughters who brought her so much joy: Olivia Jane, Emily Claire, Harper Jane and Betsy Mae.
