Jerad Jay Abbott, 37, went home to be with Jesus on March 7, 2023.

Jerad was born on April 29, 1985, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Danny and Sandra (Long) Abbott. He spent his days growing up on the streets of Newcastle, OK, riding in his bike gang. He later graduated from Newcastle High School in 2003, where he proudly wore blue, black, and white, and made the Racer name proud. He later attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where he graduated with a business degree.

Jerad was a fierce competitor and spent many years experiencing success in and out of the gym. He loved spending time at the lake around the fire and he was always surrounded by friends.

In 2019, he met the love of his life, Carly Deaton, who became Carly Abbott, when he gave her his name on November 7, 2021. They loved being dog parents to Pistol and Honey and they loved doing life together.

Jerad is survived by his wife, Carly (Deaton) Abbott, of the home; His parents, Danny and Sandra Abbott; his oldest brother, Josh Abbott, and wife, Sara, his nieces, Jayden and Taylor; His older brother, Jason Abbott, and wife, Heather, his niece Mackenzie, and his nephews, Wyatt and Tatum.

He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and many friends and family.

He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Adelphia Long: his paternal grandparents Alva and Jo Abbott; his sister-in-law Delania J. Abbott.

Services for Jerad will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Newcastle at 3p.m.. Josh Abbott and Danny Reed will be officiating. Flowers can be sent to FBC of Newcastle or memorial contributions can be made in Jerad's name to the August Deets Memorial Scholarship fund at First National Bank of Chickasha, Oklahoma.
