Ima Jean Owen, 88 of Cooper, Texas passed away Friday September 16, 2022.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday September 24, 2022, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Duane Hampton officiating, with interment to follow at Oaklawn cemetery. Family will receive friends and family at 10a.m. Saturday September 24, 2022, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel.

Serving as Pallbears will be Larry Bates, Thomas Bates, James Cotton, Christopher Cotton, Paul Butler, and Lucas Butler.

Ima Jean was born in Roosevelt, Oklahoma September 21, 1933, to Arthur and Anna (Palmertree) Fagan. They have preceded her in death as well as a daughter Vivian Brewer, and granddaughter Cynthia (Cotton) Barnett, great granddaughter Natalie Jean Withiam, two brothers John Thomas Fagan, Bobby Fagan, two sisters Ruth Miller, and JoAnn O'Neal.

Ima Jean married Edwin E. Owen March 15,1967 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Ima Jean was a retired nurse from Greenville, Texas, she loved reading books, to travel, fishing, watching old western movies, yellow and Conway Twitty.

Survivors include sons Larry Bates and wife Beatrice of Rogers, Texas, Thomas Bates and wife Janna of Walberg, Texas, daughters Barbara Witham and husband Phillip of Rockwall, Texas, Mary Shimer of Pottsboro, Texas Twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
