Well known Quinlan farmer dies at home in that city

Quinlan, Oct. 6. Lewis Isham, 72, prominent Quinlan farmer, passed away at 3 o'clock this afternoon at his family home in Quinlan after an illness of three months duration.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Quinlan, Conducted by Rev. W.A. Killough, Baptist minister. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be W.H. Davis, W.B. Haines, Hobert Lytal, Kenneth Cannon, Garrent Wade and John Damron.
Lewis Orsban Isham was born on June 12, 1870 near Greenville and with the exeception of 3 years had spent his entire life in Hunt County. He was Recognized as one of the leading farmers in this section and had resided on one farm on the Gooseneck community for more than 20 years. He was a memober of the Gooseneck Baptist Church and a loyal neighbor and friend.
He is survived by his widow and the following children; Mrs. Lee Cocker and Mrs. H. N. Sasser, Quinlan; Mrs. May Lambert. Detriot, Michigan; Mrs. Jewel Gweesland , Denison; Pvt. Henry Isham, of the U.S. Army and Odell Isham, Quinlan; one daughter and one son preceded him in death. Also surviving are two brothers , Sam Isham of Greenville and Jim (James) Isham of Kaufman County; four sisters, Mrs. Lucy Terrlll, Quinlan; Mrs. Earl Carter, Mt.Pleasant; Mrs Maud Kaylor. Mont Bellview, Texas; and Mrs. Rhoda LaFars, Amarillo, and six grandchildren.
