Larry was the son of Ralph David.b. 10/07/1907 d. 6/15/1978 and E. Mae (Krall) Turner
Larry was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a graduate of Tech High School in Indianapolis. He was inducted in the United States Marine Corps on March 27, 1952, rising to the rank of Corporal, Serving in the 9th Marine Corps, during the Korean War. He was Honorably dischared in March 16, 1954, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Larry was united in marriage to Sonja M. Girt. on March 30, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and to the union arrived a son and a daughter to bless their home. He was employed with Lucent technologies in Indianapolis, formerly Western Electric and AT&T for over 30 years, working as a schedule analyst. He resided in Indianapolis and retired back to Vevay, Indiana. He was a member of the Vevay American Legion and VFW post. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed collecting tools.
Larry will be loving remembered by his loving son, Mark S. Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana, His loving daughter, Diana L (Turner) Henderson, (Husband Robert) of Patriot, Indiana. His brother Carroll David Turner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, His sister JoAnn (Turner) Searcy of Ft. Worth, TX. Grandson David Micheal Pope, great granddaughter, Heaven Nevaeh Trinity Pope. Several nieces, nephew and other relative. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, and his sister June (Turner) Morrison.

He was Uncle Jim to our family.
