He was a retired Postmaster of the Mistletoe Post Office and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was born in Owsley County on November 7, 1931, to Dewey and Florence Couch.
Mr. Couch is survived by his wife, Judy Baker Couch and a son, Windell Couch, both of Mistletoe, KY; a brother, Clay Couch of Carrollton, KY: three sisters, Nan Fudge and Emma Combs, both of Glens Fork, KY, and Alice Allen of Tyner, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5 - 9 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Homer Couch officiating. Burial was in the Al Baker Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
