Harriet Rose Tarr-Kilroy, 70, of Glencoe, formerly of Salem, Massachusetts, and Lake Forest, Illinois, passed on Saturday, March 11th. Rose was the daughter of Dr. Willam W. Tarr and Harriet M. Tarr, beloved wife of the late James H. Kilroy, and a loving mother to his children James Jr., Lynn, Stephen, and Ann, and a devoted grandmother to their children. She was the cherished sister of David and sister-in-law Teresa. She grew up in Lake Forest, and after meeting James she relocated to his home city of Salem where she came to be highly respected as a teacher of the performing arts. She particularly enjoyed working with young children. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 19th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. A short service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Interment to take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
