James W. "Jackrabbit" Massey, age 64, of Newport, was a member of Harned's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents James Leonard and Elsie Mae Taylor Massey; stepfather Cecil Wayne Stewart; brothers Cecil Wayne Stewart, Jr. and Jessie Benjamin Massey. He is survived by his brother Thomas Harold Massey, half-sisters Kathy June Stewart Barnett and Linda Ann Stewart McMahan; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
