Michelina D. "Mickey" Merola, age 85 of Sea Isle City, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008 at her home.
Born in Ascoli, Italy, she had lived in Pennsauken, NJ and had summered in Sea Isle City since 1955 and moved here permanently in 1983. Mrs. Merola worked as a Comptroller for Campbell's Soup in Camden, NJ for forty-two years before her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Sea Isle City, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, Frank M. Merola of Sea Isle City, NJ; a son, Robert M. Merola and his wife Susan of Lumberton, NJ; three grandchildren, Brian, Megan and Stephanie; one great grandson, Hunter; sister-in-law, Helen Merola of Pennsauken, NJ; and brother-in-law, Paul Merola and his wife Helen of Williamstown, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday morning at 11 O'Clock from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 43rd and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ, where friends may call from half past nine O'Clock until the time of mass. Burial will follow mass in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 600
