Ricetown, KY - Dora Barrett, 93, passed away at the Owsley County Health Care Center on January 22, 1998 after a long illness. She was a member of the Baptist Church. A native of Owsley County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Lucy Gabbard Baker and the widow of Levi Barrett.
She is survived by two sons, James Barrett, Ricetown and Dilbert Barrett, Versailles, IN; and a foster daughter, Louise Rice, Ricetown.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; several great and several great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Combs officiating. Burial was in the Courtland Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
