Mrs. Spruell, 76, Succumbs Today; Wednesday Rites
Mrs. Dora Lener Poss Spruell, 76, died at 8:30 this morning at 208 Locust Street in Marietta after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Mayes Ward and Company, with the Rev. J. W. Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Sandy Plains.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the residence at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A native of Fulton County, Mrs. Spruell was born in the Sandy Springs community. She came to Cobb County 35 years ago. Mrs. Spruell was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church for the past 34 years. She had been in failing health for several years.
Survivors include her husband, John C. Spruell, Marietta; two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Folsom, Austell, and Mrs. Harry McGill; Atlanta; two sons, Homer Spruell, Ben Hill, and Robert, Doraville; two brothers, M. N. and Will Poss, both of Marietta; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
