Burial here may or may not be accurate. Online research did not find any specific information to accurately determine the exact location of the "old Russian graveyard" in Wrangell. His memorial has been added to this cemetery because it is one of the older cemeteries in Wrangell which has early burials.

On the 1880 census, copied below, George is listed as having been born "on the ocean" which was probably accurate but because his parents are both listed as being from England, he probably had to be listed with some country of origin when he registered to vote as shown further down.
