Clifford H. Shetley, 89, of Jonesborough, TN, departed this earthly home to enter his heavenly home on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Mr. Shetley was a native and longtime resident of Madison County, NC, currently residing with his granddaughter and her family in Jonesborough, TN. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War, worked as Lead Man at a furniture plant, and was a devout man of God, preaching and sharing the love of the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnett and Algia Cagle Shetley, his loving wife, Norma Christine Flynn Shetley, son, Christopher Lane 'Beaver' Shetley, four brothers: Plato, Walter, Jennings Bryan and Charlie Hugh Shetley, and sister, Georgia Lee Shetley Williams-McLean.

Left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Donna Sherri Bishop and husband, Jackie of Leicester; two sons, Denny Clifford Shetley of Marshall and Terry Lynn Shetley and wife, Deborah Marie of Weaverville; six grandchildren, Candace Davis (Scott), Tiffany Bowen (Steve), Brittany, Shawn (Christy), Kristal (Joe) and Brandon Shetley; great grandchildren, Brandon Bishop, Devon Alonzo, Brayden Davis, Trinity, Dixie, Justin and Levi Shetley, Paxton Chandler; sisters, Peggy Sexton (David) and Evelyn Collins; brother, Roy Shetley; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Preachers Roger Boone, Kellen Griffin and Bryan Shetley officiating. Interment will follow in the Shetley Family Cemetery.
