Asbury Charles Hart, 79, of Centre, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, at his residence. He was a native of Cherokee County, a member of Forney Masonic Lodge 440, a retired millwright with Crane Enamel and self-employed paint contractor and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church Number Two.

Services were Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tony McCain officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Memory Gardens with Perry Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Hart is survived by two daughters, Glenda Graham and Sara J. Givens, both of Centre; two brothers, Sam Hart and J.C. Hart, both of Centre; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late M.O. and Bess Packer Hart.
