David was a graduate of the Laboratory State High School in Terre Haute and had been employed in production for Stokely-Van Camp and then for Pepsico after their purchase of Stokely's. He retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union during his employment.
David loved all kinds of sports and in his younger days was a Golden Gloves boxer with the PAL Club. He also enjoyed IU basketball, boxing and football as well as fishing. He was an evangelist associated with the Apostolic Pentecostal Bread of Life and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse in Indianapolis and traveled around the country preaching. He had been a minister for 35 years. David truly loved the Lord.
Davis is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Shirley Ann (Humphrey) Creasey; his children, David (Christie) Creasey and Nita Johnson; his grandchildren, David Creasey III, Tony (Heather) Davis, Zakariah Creasey, Sara Johnson and Summer Creasey; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his siblings, Norma Atkinson and Evelyn Riley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Pastor Tommy Suggett officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call one half-hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
