Pearl Rose Hunter, age 91, of Herndon, WV passed away on November 3, 2022, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born on January 6, 1931, in Rich Hill, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eszter Szucs Gabor. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and attended Mountaineer Baptist Church at Barkers Ridge. She enjoyed sewing, canning, painting, flower gardening, and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Wallace Hunter; by two brothers and one sister. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her three children: Sylvester Hunter II and wife Erlonda of Elgood; Margaret McClaugherty and husband Robert of Herndon, and Debra Kelly and husband James of Shady Spring. Seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.
