Lorraine was tiny in stature, standing only 4 feet 11 inches tall and never learned to drive. Following her husband's death in 1970 she decided that to get everywhere she wanted to go she would have to walk, and walk she did. For the next 23 years she walked daily to downtown Visalia to visit with acquaintances and to do her grocery shopping. She continued to do this until moving to Casa Grande Senior Care and later, Reimer's Senior Care Homes.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Cosmo and Lucia Damiani of Fresno; sisters, Flora, Pola, Virginia, Rose and Claire; brother, Joe and Albert; husband, Kenneth and grandson Kenneth Douglas White. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. White Jr. of Visalia and daughter-in-law Terry L. White; grandsons, Kristopher and Bradley White and great-granddaughter, Julian Samantha White.
Interment Visalia District Cemetery.
