Evelyn Estelle Clayton, age 91, of Spring, Texas, went to be The Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Estelle was born November 10, 1931 in Houston, Texas.

Estelle was a devoted and loving wife to David Clayton for 69 years.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Clayton, father, William Harvey Gibbs, mother Martha Emily Gibbs, brothers Emmett Gibbs, J. D. Gibbs, and sisters Bobbie Evelyn Gibbs, Mattie Cline and Marie Blount, and nieces Joyce Barton, June Reynolds, Joanne Dennard and Ray Marie Elliott.

Estelle was raised and saved in Lindale Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Womens' Missionary Union and all socials. She was a proud member of Spring Baptist Church. She was a bank teller for many years and then owned Papa's Greenhouse where she created and sold the most amazing flower arrangements.

Estelle was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was devoted to family because of her love for God Almighty and her Savior Jesus.

A visitation for Estelle will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The committal service and burial to immediately follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
