FRESNO, April 18.-Maynard L. Killian, 30-year-old Fresno chauffeur for the San Joaquin Light and Power Corporation, was fatally injured this afternoon six miles northwest of Kerman when a power company automobile which he was driving collided with another driven by Alex Afinsoff, a ranch worker of the Kerman district.
Afinsoff told Deputy Sheriff Blasingame that Killian was driving at a high rate of speed and that he did not see the car approaching his machine at right angles until it was too late to avert the accident.
Killian died a few minutes after being taken to a near-by farmhouse. He had started to Fresno to get some dynamite for use by a power line construction crew with which he was working.
