Preceded in death: husband in 1979; 4 sisters; a brother; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors: daughter, Veda Ferne Pennington of Smith Center; son, Jack of Smith Center; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Cora Cemetery, Smith County. Simonson-Williams Funeral Home, 241 W. Fourth, Red Cloud, NE 68970, is handling arrangements.
