Doyle Van Cole passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 26,2023 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was 61 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m.

Doyle was born on December 15, 1961, to the late Jamie & Angelaed Cole in Natchez, Mississippi. He was raised in South Jackson but had lived in Braxton for the last 3 years. He attended Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Doyle also attended Jackson State University where he played football for the Tigers. Doyle worked in law enforcement as an officer with Jackson Police Department, investigator with Mississippi DOC and worked for Madison County Sheriff's Department. He played softball at Alta Woods, coached and umpired baseball and football with M.A.I.S. private schools and was an avid Ole Miss and Steelers fan. He was also a practical jokester.

Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Jamie Doyle Cole and Angelaed Temple Cole.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Gia Cole of Braxton; sons, Ryan Cole of Savannah, GA, and Dexter Cole of Braxton; step-son, Davis McLeod of U.S. Army, daughters, Lexie Davis (Ryan) of Brandon, Lena Cole of Braxton and Kailee Cole of Braxton; sisters, Tanya Berry (Craig) of Braxton and Sonya Cole of Byram; grandson, Woodrow Davis; nieces and nephews, Lacy Pence, Michael Skinner, Dakota Cole, Cole Weeks, Hayden Berry, Taylor Burney, Jake McCoy and Jordyn McCoy.
