She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1954 and attended Due Nursing School before moving to Houston. While in Houston, she was a secretary in the hospital, insurance and petroleum industries. There she met the love of her life, Henry Rabel. They were married November 10, 1956 and the union lasted 51 years.
She retired in 1991 as tax assessor/collector for the City of Liberty. She then moved to Jasper and co-owned Country Corner Resale Shop with her sister.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Rabel of Jasper; sons, David Rabel and wife, Elaine, Bryan Rabel and wife, Ela, Gregory Rabel, Corey Rabel and wife, Amber; sister, Bertha Parfait and husband, James; uncle, Wallace Lulue; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Nolan and Leona Lulue Guidry and two brothers, Wayne Guidry and Marvin Guidry.
